When I was young I looked forward to Bonfire Night, it was exciting.  There  was not any organised displays, so everyone built    their   own bonfire in their back gardens, our parents bought    the  fireworks   from   the   local   shop, we  baked potatoes,  roasted     chestnuts   and my Mum  made the bonfire toffee, and the fireworks were only lit on Bonfire Night.

There   was   not   the indiscriminate letting off of fireworks which   we   experience   these   days,   lasting   for   weeks   before and   after  Bonfire Night which frighten the elderly, pets and wildlife, and which causes injuries and death to all.

MP Sir Teddy Taylor is attempting to bring about changes in the law

What changes would you like to see, and what are your thoughts on the following:-
a) Fireworks banned from sale to the General Public.
b) Organised Displays by Professional Pyrotechnics only.
c) Free displays paid by Councils out of the rates.
d) Organisers to apply for licences stating dates and times
e) To limit the days on which the displays take place
f)  To arrest anyone found with or letting off fireworks without a licence
AFTER ALL WE ARE TALKING ABOUT DYNAMITE
